Don't limit yourself like this and stick to just PS. While this can be advantageous, it does mean you've already missed any V5 hype. With the original V3 release, those who waiting for the CFM updates waited for MONTHS after V3's initial release.

There is a reason CeVIO and SynthV suddenly have a influx of interest since last year and its not entirely to do with CeVIO finally getting a update that made it sound decent and Synth V being free for the first part.Īlso by waiting on CFM you can really get yourself held up and take some taking shifting from older to newer engines. I don't know how the V5 update will fair for it, but considering V5's been a buggy mess at the start, expect PS to have additional bugs. I personally think just because it was overall buggier then V4, you were better off with V4. Luka they pretty much made it a big feature for her so Luka users are currently struggling.Ī lot of this is just the kind of thing you expect from 3rd party version software. of a downer for them if its currently bugged. To Miku and the Kagamines, EVEC offers a lot less. Though outside of Luka V4x, you don't need to worry about much. The entire is waiting for the V4 API to advance so PS version 3 is not going to happen until then. Unless your prepared to wait for CFM's entry with V5, your pretty much stuck with no updates for the time being and only CFM as a support. The V4 era is over, that means that the engine is now not being updated. The biggest issue with PS is the same as V4s right now.
Vocaloid itself is more stable and better overall supported. Your still better off with V4 or V5 then PS and there is no need to case it if you aren't buying more then the CFM vocals. Basically, anything that is not actually supported by the core engine and is instead a product feature, is an issue.

There are some tools missing in PS that are only included with the full software, such as some plug-ins. so the differences are basically what each version offers. It has some differences, but the engine is the same as V4s. I'll add as no one said it, one thing to be aware of is that Piapro studio comes with all of Vocaloids bugs.
